Membership Information:
Team Kaos is a USAC sanctioned cycling club. The mission statement of Team Kaos:
To promote the sport of cycling as a healthy lifestyle through competitive cycling, bicycle safety education and charity event promotion.
- Team Kaos/Alegent Creighton Health Cycling annually fields one of the strongest bike racing teams in Nebraska, with numerous podium finishes every year. Team Kaos has recently expanded from its tradition of road events into cyclocross, mountain biking and triathlons.
- Team Kaos participates in health fairs, bike rodeos and safety events, to promote cycling as a fun and healthy activity.
- Team Kaos supports events such as the Corporate Cycling Challenge that appeal to a wide range of cyclists.
Team Kaos membership has two levels
- Club level. There is a $40 dollar membership fee to defray our costs. Member expectations are to participate in the Nebraska Omnium Weekend, participate in community service during the year, adhere to proper “rules of the road” and portray the team in an appropriate and positive fashion. Member benefits: a discount at Joyride Bicycles, the opportunity to buy Team jerseys, shorts and other clothing at reduced prices, the ability to participate in team events and training rides, and access to the Team Kaos email listserv.
- Team Level--this is the elite team, selected yearly based on past results and ability. In addition to the above they receive some financial support from Team Kaos to cover entry fees and travel expenses.
